Deltek, Inc., a provider of enterprise software and information solutions, has released Vision 7, a new version of its project-based ERP solution for architecture and engineering, or A&E, firms.
Vision 7, built for managing the complete project lifecycle, enables A&E firms to gain visibility, control and insight into their business, empowering them to work and manage efficiently and deliver successful projects for customers. Deltek worked closely with its more than 5,000 Deltek Vision customers to develop Vision 7.
According to the company, Vision 7 delivers visibility into the critical business drivers of an A&E firm – clients, resources, projects, financials – providing an integrated view into the total performance of the firm. Information in Vision 7 is accessible to decision-makers, empowering them with the knowledge they need to plan accurately and make positive adjustments to operational plans as the business changes. Visibility enables firms to plan correctly the first time and keep everything on track to hit revenue and profitability targets. For international A&E firms, Vision 7 provides the visibility to monitor and manage their global operations and deliver projects in multiple countries around the world.
Vision 7 delivers control by enabling firms to respond quickly within Deltek Vision when changes happen such as winning new clients, starting a new project, responding to client requests, and changing a project’s scope. Vision 7 offers new contract management features that deliver control and transparency over the contract process among sales, finance and project management. These capabilities improve the coordination around managing contracts so no steps are missed in the contract process and profitable projects can be started and delivered on time, the company said.
Vision 7 also provides tighter connections between time collection and project accounting that converts time worked to cash collected efficiently. With additional core accounting features also part of Vision 7, including preformatted EFT and Direct Deposit emails and online check reviews, firms will accelerate cash flow, deliver consistent margins and reduce errors, the company added.
Vision 7.0 delivers insight into all areas of operations, including a professional services firm’s greatest asset, its people. With Vision 7, attributes such as location, discipline, and skill set can be assigned to resources giving project managers the ability to reserve and assign the best resources to specific projects, ensuring projects are planned correctly before they start.
Another key addition to the Vision 7 product family is Deltek Vision Navigator, a new project management portal for project managers that delivers all the capabilities they need to plan, review, and execute their projects from any browser-based device. Vision Navigator benefits the project manager by giving them all of the information they need to deliver projects. Vision Navigator works with Vision 7 and Vision 6.2.
